Prevent Home Burglaries
Conduct a safety security audit of your home.
You can help prevent home burglaries by paying attention to your doors, windows, entryways and garage. Are your locks secure? Do you have adequate lighting? Is it easy for a burglar to enter your home. Most burglars come in through unlocked doors. Pay attention to the obvious. When you are not at home all windows need to be locked even ones on the upper stories. Can intruders hide behind shrubbery while they pry open a window?
Use timers to turn on lights, radios and TV’s when you are out at night or away on a trip so that potential intruders think that the home is occupied. Leave outside lights on to illuminate the area.
